OOH LA LA FILIPINAS

This show brought together an intergenerational cast of Fil-Am artists to celebrate Philippine pride through a journey of history, dance, and glamour.

Told through the eyes of a young Filipino-American artist, the production spanned multiple languages—including English, Filipino, Spanish, and Chinese—and served as both a tribute to heritage and a fundraiser supporting the Filipino-American creative community.

LIGHTING DESIGN

Lighting for the production was designed by Rachel Shatzkin in collaboration with co-lighting designer Cagla Karslioglu. Together, they conquered the expansive design and programming responsibilities, working closely to create a cohesive visual arc that supported the show’s wide range of performance styles and emotional beats.

Programming was carried out on the theater’s in house ETC Ion console—bringing warmth and unity to this large-scale, community-centered performance.
